What comes with the PoolNaturally^® Dispenser Kit?

Packed with each dispenser kit is the dispenser itself with a lid and stand, all the hardware described in the instructions to install the dispenser, and enough ½ inch tubing to connect the input and exiting treated water. No refills are packaged with the dispenser.

How many refills do I need for my pool?

The amount of PoolNaturally refills you need to change each month depends on the number of gallons of water your pool holds. See the dosage chart.

Why do I need to purchase and install an offline dispenser instead of putting the refills in the skimmer basket, chlorine dispenser, or filter housing?

Our research has demonstrated that the effects of the PoolNaturally system are maximized when we closely simulated the process that nature has evolved whereby the water passes slowly over the inserts. This allows the water and the sphagnum moss in the insert to interact efficiently to achieve the desired effects.

The water traveling through the standard piping system moves too fast to optimize this interaction. In addition, the refills when installed inline can cause undesirable back pressures that would shut down the system. The skimmer system does not have the capacity to accept the amount of insert dosing required.

Where do I install the water capture and return saddle clamps?

We recommend that the inflow water capture saddle clamp be installed between the pump and the filter. Then place the outflow returning conditioned water from the PoolNaturally dispenser as the last item inline as the water travels back to the pool via the discharge pipe.

Does PoolNaturally work with borates?

Yes. Our research shows that it is compatible with borates, although the simplest water treatment system is small amounts of chlorine and PoolNaturally.

Do I need to flush a pool?

You do not flush a pool, but cleaning or replacing your filter media before starting the system is highly recommended. Also, in the northern climates, adding the PoolNaturally system at the beginning of the season is ideal.
