Successful Test of PoolNaturally in St. Paul City Pools
Posted August 20, 2009
The mayor of St. Paul applauded this summer's test of PoolNaturally in city pools. Highland Park pool users were happy with the silky feel of the water and reduced irritation due to chemicals. The pool holds 440,000 gallons of water.
The city was happy about reduced chemical costs, the prospect of less corrosion in its systems and the benefits for the environment..
“It’s a completely different pool! My eyes and the kids’ eyes didn’t get red, the water didn’t smell of chlorine and it was a lot softer feeling in general,” said 19-year-old Mary Schmidt, a regular weekly visitor to the pool as a summer nanny. “I love it!”
St. Paul became the first city in the U.S. to install a natural water treatment system in public pools.
